This elegant and stylish sencha comes from a single cultivar called Tsuyuhikari from a manufacturer located in Shizuoka. The literal meaning of this cultivar is “dew light,” symbolizing its delicate and refreshing flavor profile. Tsuyuhikari is a cross between Asatsuyu and Shizu-7132 cultivars, bringing together the best qualities of both. The Asatsuyu cultivar, often referred to as “natural gyokuro” for its naturally sweet and umami-rich taste, shines through in every sip.
